Grammy-winning soft rock legends America have announced their return to Australian shores this morning, off the back of their 18th studio album Lost & Found, released in 2015.

The duo, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell — following co-founding member Dan Peek's death in 2011 — have nearly five decades and nearly 20 albums to draw from on the July tour, in which they'll showcase their biggest hits like A Horse With No Name, Ventura Highway and Sister Golden Hair as well as everything in between.

Beckley and Bunnell shared their excitement, stating, "We first visited Australia in the early 1970s and have enjoyed every trip since. The food. The sights. The people.

"We cannot wait to see all of our friends and fans in the beautiful land you call home again."

America have invited Aussie ARIA-winning troubadour Russell Morris on the road with them (excluding Queensland) as they kick off the seven-date tour this 24 July.

One of their shows will even be free, when they play the Broadbeach Music Festival.
