Four years after the release of her debut, blockbuster album Pure Heroine, it seems Kiwi singer Lorde is finally ready to release her highly-anticipated follow-up, teasing the album with a cryptic TV ad.

As NZ Herald reports, the short ad spot was aired on Kiwi TV around 7.15pm last night, showing Lorde and her driver sitting in a car sipping on some soft drink, soundtracked with a glossy indie pop track.

The ad ends with two dates — one that teases 2 March for NYC and 3 March for NZ.

A new website with the URL 'imwaitingforit.com' has been launched to coincide with the ad too, with a mysterious censored title that says "M*******A".

The young singer has largely laid low for the last couple of years, only resurfacing in February last year to pay tribute to David Bowie at the BRIT Awards.
