After a successful 2016 in which he released his debut award-winning album Ratja Yaliyali and supported Peter Garrett at the Darwin Festival, singer/songwriter Gawurra has announced his first national tour and festival dates.
Ratja Yaliyali and its contemporary take on traditional Gupapungu language songs has won Gawurra a number of accolades, including the NT Song Of The Year Award.
The ARIA-nominated, now Melbourne-based NT musician will be performing his soulful music at a handful of festivals including Sydney Festival, WOMADelaide, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Gathering.
Gawurra will also play a string of more intimate headline shows in Alice Springs, Melbourne, Illaroo and Brisbane.
