Following the departures of two of Bluesfest's drawcards Neil Young and Barry Gibb, the renowned festival have added none other than the king of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett, to the fold.
He and The Coral Reefers will be bringing classics like Cheeseburger In Paradise, Come Monday and, obviously, Margaritaville, to the festival alongside the likes of legends Santana, Patti Smith, Mary J Blige, The Doobie Brothers and Jethro Tull.
Bluesfest director Peter Noble adds that the festival still have more artist announcements to come ahead of the Easter festival.
"Jimmy and The Coral Reefers will be present and presenting his unique "island escapism" style at the epicentre of Australian escapism… Byron Bay," Noble says.
"When Jimmy Buffett isn't sailing on his yacht, or hanging out at his beach shack in the Caribbean, he plays where and when he wants to… and he has chosen Bluesfest this time!"
Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefers will play Bluesfest exclusively this April.
