Grammy-nominated partystarters Hot 8 Brass Band have announced an Australian tour next March, hot on the heels of newest record, On The Spot.
The New Orleans act is said to have looked to the fun and funk of their live performances when recorded the new album, taking inspiration from their 'on the spot' synchronicity and vibes.
Hot 8 Brass Band's bandleader Bennie Pete says, "We are privileged to tour and to tell the stories of life in our city, to keep alive the memories of our band members who have passed, as well as all the musicians who have gone before.
"We can’t wait to share this new music and party with our fans, who help us to keep pushing ourselves on."
The band have already graced Secret Garden and WOMAD in the past, and this time will arrive for a five-date tour of Queensland, NSW and Perth, kicking off 1 March.
