Urthboy Drops Mammoth March Tour Plans

With his new single Crushing Hard freshly added to triple j rotation, Urthboy has detailed plans for a mammoth national tour early next year.

The single is the last track from his recent record, The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat, and was written as the sequel of sorts to Wade In The Water. 

"It uses a lyric from that song and springboards into a completely different space in the same spectrum of love," says Urthboy. 

"If Wade In The Water is about an enduring love that is wonderfully imperfect and turbulent and real — Crushing Hard is about the impatient intensity that leads up to it. It’s also about not having the emotional maturity to come out and simply tell the person you like that you have a crush on them."

The tour will bring along Joyride and Alice Ivy as he stops by 16 shows around the country, starting with Adelaide on 3 March and wrapping up in Alice Springs on 8 April.
