Following months of speculation, UK megastar Adele has finally confirmed she will be hitting Australia in 2017 for her debut tour of the country.

The record-breaking artist will head to our shores next February and March for unique 360 degree in-the-round-shows in all the major cities.

"G'day, it's me," Adele said in a statement.

"I was wondering if after ten years in the game you'd finally like to meet me in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide?

"Yep! I am coming Down Under. In-the-round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible. I can't wait."

Tickets for all shows go on sale from 10am (local time) on Monday, 21 November.

The tour news coincides with the release of Adele's latest single, Water Under The Bridge, from her hugely-acclaimed album, 25 - stream it here
