British indie rockers Band Of Skulls were already announced for WA's Disconnect Festival, but lucky for those over on the east coast, the trio have unveiled a run of headline shows to show off their fourth record, By Default.

Written in a Baptist church in their hometown of Southampton, the band's Matt Hayward says, "We went back to Square One", between speaking to the vicar and having tea and biscuits.

Russell Marsden adds, "It’s definitely a new era. The first three records were like a trilogy, a piece of work in of themselves. We wanted to do those things, and we did them all. We took a breath, took a look at what we’d done, and started from scratch again."

The band will head to Melbourne on 24 November, before taking in Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane for the rest of the month.
