Dan Sultan Unveils 'Magnetic' Tour Dates & New Single

Dan Sultan has been away from the stage for almost a full year, which is more than long enough in our minds — and, fortunately, the acclaimed artist seems to agree, announcing his first headline national run of shows since 2015 for this November.

Kicking off with an event appearance at Fremantle Festival, WA, on Sunday 6 November, Sultan will head to Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney on the Magnetic run, which is proudly presented by The Music takes its name from Sultan's just-announced first single from his eagerly awaited fourth studio album, which is due out next year and promises to be something of "a change of pace" for the celebrated singer-songwriter.

The new track has our ears rightly standing at attention in anticipation of its release, with Sultan explaining the track's origins as being "about having too much of a good thing".

"It's about excess, basically, in all its forms," he said in a statement. "But it's also about getting older, and about being more comfortable in my own skin."

Now two years distant from his lauded 2014 full-length Blackbird, Sultan has remained a vital presence in the Australian music community, most recently contributing to, appearing in the film clip for, A.B. Original's excellent recent cut January 26. He'll be joined for all shows — except Fremantle — by celebrated songsmiths Caiti Baker and Morgan Bain.

Tickets for all shows on Dan Sultan's Magnetic tour go on sale from 9am this Thursday, 15 September, via the troubadour's website.
