Melbourne folk rocker Jordie Lane has just unveiled news of his first album in five years, along with a huge national tour.
GLASSELLLAND is said to be Lane's look at the world through an "at times tragic and vain or facetious" lens.
Co-collaborator Clare Reynolds says of the record, "Imagine Rufus Wainwright is drinking tequila with Neil Young. In walks Paul McCartney, arm in arm with Neil Finn discussing the demise of human connection. If you can picture that then you’re drawing closer to the space and fanciful world that Jordie and I have created with his new record GLASSELLLAND."
To coincide with the release of GLASSELLLAND, Lane and his new band The Sleepers will be taking to 14 shows around the country this October/November, stopping by at a slew of festivals such as Dashville Skyline, Fremantle Festival and Mullum Music Festival.
GLASSELLLAND is due out on 16 September.
