To celebrate the release of Banoffee's latest video I'm Not Sorry (which featured on her 2015 EP Do I Make You Nervous?) the Melbourne multi-disciplined artists is hitting the road on a massive national tour in June. Fresh from touring nationally on this year's Laneway Festival circuit and with a an appearance at Splendour appearing quickly, she'll be playing her final stand-alone shows before heading overseas - and will be enlisting the assistance of some of her favourite musical counterparts to join her.
With a fresh nonchalant, non-committal attitude to any one musical style, the Banoffee title is also the result of Martha Brown's (real name) complete submission to every part of her music. Heavily layered synths, bouncing keys and deep, resounding bass are at times battles of different genres. Overall the end product is perfectly balanced and reminiscent of golden era R'n'B blended with Synth Pop of the 80's (think Paul Simon meets Lauryn Hill). This is a tour not to be missed.
