The Rosemount Hotel is excited to announce its annual New Year’s Eve Fiesta returns to cap off another stellar year for original music. By now, you know the drill: Perth’s finest band room, perfect summer beer garden atmosphere, the intimate Four5Nine Bar, heaps of parking - and you’re out of the main bozo precincts, meaning no dropkicks in sight.

Over the years some amazing WA bands have been charged with the honour headlining the event and ringing in the New Year: Little Birdy, The Panda Band, Snowman, End Of Fashion, Red Jezebel, Sugar Army, Abbe May and The Love Junkies have carried out the task loudly and proudly, but it’s safe to say all those bands wouldn’t have had the chance to do so had it not been for a certain trailblazing bunch that came before them.

If their recent 20th anniversary shows were anything to go by, JEBEDIAH may just be more popular than ever! In this era of the mid-90s, Perth felt a million miles from the rest of Australia. Jebediah put us back on the musical map with massive singles such as “Leaving Home”, “Jerks Of Attention”, “Harpoon” and “Animal”, to name but a few, along with sold-out tours across the country. It’s scary to imagine the alternative dystopian musical world that Perth could be occupying if it is wasn’t for Jebediah: the bands who wouldn’t have been inspired to form, the punters who wouldn’t have otherwise followed music, the venues that would have subsequently not opened. Excuse our emotion, but that's how important this band are to the fabric of WA.

We couldn’t be happier to have them headline this year’s New Years Eve Fiesta, joined by a lineup of great acts all gagging to share a bill with them. One such act is TIRED LION – surely this year’s WA breakout band. From a slot on Splendour In The Grass, to tours with British India and Luca Brasi and a now-famous triple J Like A Version, this quartet has been on fire for all of 2015, and will be the perfect penultimate act for the Rosemount’s Main Room this year.

Joining Jebediah and Tired Lion on the main stage will be the always brilliant MT MOUNTAIN, grunge-rock favourites FOAM, the sax-weilding groove of THE TOMMYHAWKS and indie-rock supergroup URSULA. And that’s JUST the Main Room, which has a separate ticket. Main room ticket gains ticket holders access to all areas!

In Four5Nine it will be a more rowdy celebration with globe trotting skate punk mavericks The Decline, extremely good time and tongue in cheek locals Suburban and Coke, plus The Sperts, Verge Collection and more to be announced. Get ready get sweaty! Backyard sees the world’s only Bob Log III, an electric, whiskey and diesel powered one-man nation of dirty hyperblues-rock, as well as experienced New years Eve Fiesta DJ Shannon Fox, RTRFM’s spiritual leader Rok Riley plus the dream duo Joanne Lettenmaier in back to back set with Hamish Rahn (Hamjam). There is going to be a few surprise performances in the backyard to keep things spontaneous.

Main room AAA tickets are $59+bf while the Backyard ticket gains ticket holder access to Backyard and Four5Nine which are $20+bf. Both ticket options are available from rosemounthotel.com.au from 10am Wednesday October 14.
