Organisers are now counting down the days until the January 2nd, 2016 GROUNDSWELL Music Festival on the waterfront in Lake Tyers Beach following the inaugural 2015 event.
The January 2nd event presents a list of Australian Rock Royalty, which will feature once again on a start-of-the-art sound stage, on the waterfront in picturesque Lake Tyers Beach.
"We are excited to be bringing back the Groundswell event this Summer and to delivering another stellar format for our attendees" says Event Organiser Kevin Campbell, a resident and business owner of Lake Tyers Beach. "Groundswell 2015 was a great event though in our second year, we are fine-tuning the format to make it even better than our first year production. We're in this for the long haul and wish to develop an event which grows stronger annually and brings people to our beautiful East Gippsland region which we are incredibly proud of".
Artists for the 2016 event include The Hoodoo Gurus, Ian Moss who is back in 2016 by popular demand, Diesel, Electric Mary and regulars to Lake Tyers Beach, Matt Katsis and Harry Hookey.
"We are also pretty excited to be featuring The Break in this year's line-up" says Campbell. "The band features Rob Hirst, Martin Rotsey and Jim Moginie from Midnight Oil, Brian Ritchie from The Violent Femmes and Jack Howard from Hunters and Collectors. Rob Hirst is easily one of the finest drummers this country has ever seen and the Dick Dale inspired Surf Rock sound they deliver should go down a treat on show day".
This over 18 event will also provide a food and wine offering to allow participants to fully enjoy the picnic style setting for the event from around midday and well into the night.
General Admission tickets to the event are now on sale via Oztix and the ticket price for General Admission has been amended to $79.
