Australia's Biggest Colour Festival, SpringFlare, announces epic music line-up

SpringFlare
is excited to announce the biggest roster of headliners to ever grace Australia's Biggest Colour Festival on Saturday 10 October at the University of Queensland, St Lucia.

Presented by UQ Union, the SpringFlare 2015 headliners are The Delta Riggs, Jackie Onassis, Willow Beats and Paces.

Inspired by the ancient colour festival Holi, SpringFlare is all about celebrating diversity and cultivating human spirit. This unique, colour-fuelled music festival is an ALL-AGES event, bringing people together from all over Queensland to dance, listen to awesome live music and get coloured head to toe!

The Springflare's 2015 line-up has something for everyone, with an impressive range of all- Aussie acts spanning psych-rock, hip-hop, indie-pop, and electronic dance!

Founding Co-Director of SpringFlare and former UQ student Mcklein Javeri says, 'We wanted to create a truly unique festival experience this year, one that embodies the principles of Holi in bringing people together, breaking down barriers and building a sense of community. Music festivals around the world are all about coming together with friends and strangers to enjoy music, so we thought we would combine the two concepts and throw the most colourful music festival Australia has ever seen'.

Renowned for pumping out high-energy jams and explosive live shows, Melbourne 5-piece The Delta Riggs are pumped to return to Queensland, after playing to massive crowds at Splendour in the Grass 2015 and completing huge UK and European tours.

Sydney hip-hop duo, Jackie Onassis, are also joining the colour-fuelled fun after just releasing their fresh, new single ‘MIA' from their highly anticipated debut album set to drop later this year.

Melbourne music makers, Willow Beats, will be bringing their bass heavy electronic sounds back to Brisbane, fresh off the back of their recently announced national tour with Tkay Maidza.

Rounding out the 2015 lineup is Gold Coast producer Mikey Perry, aka Paces who will have everyone up and dancing with his bouncy tropical-infused tracks.

The colour- fuelled festivities and LIVE performances will kick off from 12:30pm until 5:30pm. Throughout the afternoon, colour countdowns will commence every hour, with festivalgoers all dressed in white throwing coloured powder into the sky to celebrate.

'Hourly colour countdowns that explode with colour and sound as thousands of people simultaneously throw colour into the sky in celebration, timed to the drops of your favourite songs, performed LIVE - now that is something to get excited about' Javeri says.

To top it off, there will be a selection of local food vendors serving up tasty food and beverages to quench your thirst and keep you going all afternoon long. Don't miss your chance to be a part of Australia's Biggest Colour Festival at University of Queensland St Lucia this spring!
