Joshua Seymour is a troubadour, an interpreter, a storyteller. Whether on mandolin or the guitar Seymour is a traditionalist who has immersed himself in the old timey standards of the dust-bowl era of American folk and blues recordings.

After gaining the attention of U.S. label Lucky Buck as a mandolin player/singer in Melbourne’s country punk band Cherrywood, Seymour was invited to Argyle, Texas to record at the Echo Lab studios. Engineered by Grammy award winner David Willingham, produced by Robert Jason Vandygriff and Ryan "coach" Nelson and fuelled by a stellar collection of Texan players.

Josh and his band are now hitting the road launching his album ‘Rope Tied Hope’, a dreamy journey into dark country, dive bar piano and soulful laments, which is perfect for the stylish settings of The Junk Bar’s Skukum Lounge Supporting Joshua for the night is the stylistic Gothic Cowboy, M.E. Baird who will be bringing his Southern inspired tunes of confessions, tragedy, despair, elegance and beauty.
