VENUE
The Foundry
Venue to Open in Brisbane
Get ready for a gamechanger Brisbane. A one-of-a-kind creative music hub unlike anything in Australia is coming this March.

Forging a bold path in the heart of Fortitude Valley, The Foundry is a mammoth two level complex that is part 300-person live room, part rock'n'roll bar, part collaborative space and home to 20 creative studios.

The concept for a dedicated music industry and live space in Brisbane stems from the masterminds behind pioneering creative venues like Sydney's The Standard Bowl, Vic on the Park and Tokyo Sing Song. Designed and built by musicians with musicians in mind, The Foundry is a unique creative home for everyone from fans to bands to industry players, right in the epicentre of the growing South East Queensland music scene.

What sets The Foundry apart is its potential to unite the local industry as one giant powerhouse. An entire floor of backpacker rooms are currently being converted into The Foundry's creative crucible set to house Brisbane's brightest booking agents, publicists, street press, blogs and 4ZZZ. Supporting Brisbane's creative community takes precedence over profits with tentants paying rent for a music industry sized budget, provided with free-wifi and the freedom to deck out the studios as they please.

The Foundry's commitment to supporting Brisbane's music scene does not end there. There's a dedicated room where touring bands can crash for the night, free of charge and multiple rehearsal studios. The venue does not charge bands venue hire, and it gives them free use of a high quality backline.

The Foundry's 300-person live room is a welcome addition to The Valley's live venue quota and will surely become a staple for any gig goer, showcasing the best in local and touring acts. Punters can also shoot the shit in the beergarden or shoot some pool next to the rock'n'roll bar.

Confirmed tenants for The Foundry Studios include 4ZZZ, Jungle Love Festival, Control Zine, Smack Face Music, Mitzi, Lost Movements and Mucho Bravado.

The Foundry. It's built for music, by musicians.
The Foundry's live room launches 6 March.
Stay tuned for event details.
