Dallas Frasca
National Tour
Melburnian riff-rock trio Dallas Frasca have announced that they are to embark on an extensive national tour as they prepare for the launch of a new single and video, You Are Beautiful, fresh on the heels of their return home from their fourth overseas tour in the past year and a half.

The single (and its accompanying clip) is an empowering, body-positive protest song that rallies against social expectations and definitions of what constitutes an 'acceptable' shape and/or size. The video and single launch proper on October 28.

The clip drew upon the power of social media, with frontwoman and band namesake Dallas Frasca putting out the call for participants online and receiving a massive response. "You will see the diversity in the people who believe in the message and are in the clip," she said of the video in a statement. "We all got our kit off for the cause and we hope this song will inspire people to be more aware of what they are reading and to feel beautiful the way you are."

The single is the first to be taken from the band's impending full-length, Love Army, which is due out early next year. Well before that's in your hands, though, the three-piece will be setting off for their 20-date national tour in support of You Are Beautiful, proudly presented by The Music, having just knocked over a successful spot at Glenelg's Follow The Sun Festival this weekend past.

From there, they kick things off proper on Friday, October 10, for Rocktober at EV's Youth Centre Croydon (with Smokestack Rhino), in Victoria, before setting off for dates in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT (sorry, Tassie), finishing both the tour and the year in Brisbane, at Redcliffe's Rock Central, on Wednesday, December 31.
