"Damien hits you in the heart. His work is like a great movie" - Paddy Considine
Damien Dempsey has announced he will return to Australia in March to undertake a national tour and festival appearances to celebrate the launch of his upcoming album 'It's All Good - The Best of Damien Dempsey', a celebration of his career to date which encompasses six top 10 studio albums over 15 years.
The album will include fan favourites such as 'Sing All Our Cares Away', 'It's All Good', 'Colony', 'Almighty Love', 'Bustin' Outta Here' and his No. 1 Christmas single 'The Auld Triangle' with Glen Hansard, along with two new brand new tracks recorded especially for this release 'Happy Days' and 'St Patrick's Brave Brigade'.
Damien has had an incredible 2013, following the release of his sixth studio album 'Almighty Love' in September 2012. To mention but a few highlights: Damien sold out his Sydney Opera House St Patrick's Day show followed by headline shows across Australia. The summer saw a support slot with Bruce Springsteen at Kilkenny Stadium, and his own headline show at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens, whilst September brought his first US tour in 5 years, encompassing festivals and headline shows including a sold out Bowery Ballroom in New York. Damien toured Australia once more in November before heading back to Ireland for headline dates nationally before heading back to Vicar Street for his now traditional two Christmas gigs.
