Gonerfest heroes from Japan, return to Australia with Beast Vibrator - to save rock and roll.
"If you've ever spent time at a recording studio - or simply tried home recordings on your own - you may be familiar with the term, "The Guitar Wolf Technique". When applying this style to your recording, you will have done a couple of things: You will have turned all the amplifiers to their maximum volume and you will have cranked the gain knob on the recording device to its max as well" - CBS Seattle.
"We just play live for records...everything must be in the red ...there isn't really a technical side." - Guitar Wolf.
Upon wrapping up another 20 plus date US tour, including Gonerfest # 10 (with Mudhoney and our very own heroes The Cosmic Psychos & Onyas), Guitar Wolf will head to Australia this November/ December.
The story of "Beast Vibrator" - words by Guitar Wolf (Seiji)
"Let me confess. I came to the earth to bring you rock-and-roll, love and courage. I'm a messenger from the Planet of the Wolves.
Recently I was sensing furiously that you earthlings are losing something very important. Then I received telepathy from Ray, a scientist of the Planet of the Wolves. "Come back, Seiji! For the sake of the earth, there is something I must bestow upon you."
Midnight on December 29, 2012, I was standing at the top of Mount Fuji in the severe snowstorm. While the snow was shooting down like bullets, I raised the index finger of my left hand high to shoot the telepathy out to the sky and yellow lightning struck all the sudden PIKA! Zooom!! It struck into the crater of Mt. Fuji. The earth started jolting hard. The crater of Fuji cracked open and showed the red magma swirling into the hole far below.
In the sea of the ultra-high heat magma, Space Battleship Red Guitar was floating. "Great. Here you are. Let's go kick ass once again!" Glaring at the sky one more time, I strummed the remote-controlled guitar I was holding on my shoulder.
JAJA~N! Gogogogo Gogogogogo
A huge roar shook the mountain. In the snowstorm of hell, Space Battleship came up into my sight.
One more stroke, JAJA~N!
A ray of purple light from the vessel reached me and wrapped around my body. Surrounded by the light, I got into the Space Battleship. Immediately I sat down in the cockpit, I watched out of the window. Mt. Fuji in the snowstorm was like a storm of ammonia swirling around the planet of death.
"Wait for me, Earth. I'll be back soon."
Wormhole of darkness. The space-time was erratic at the end of last year; I was forced to repeat to warp, like switching the train many times. Usually I needed one warp around 10 hours to get through, but it took me 29 hours this time. Sitting tight for long hours made my butt sore.
It is always a little eerie to travel through wormhole. Only those that exceed the dimensions of the universe exist there. It reflects not only the soul of yours and others, but also every single soul of existence. Feeling the light passing through my retina vaguely, I often remember my childhood. Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, even though we are now able to travel far from home or shorten the length of time, people still grow old and die.
For what do we live in this world?
I don't know.
But people have desire, people have vanity. Surprisingly, those things might be the most important things for humans. The unidentified light reflected on the window of the battle ship's bridge. It was a huge face of my late grandmother. I noticed for a brief moment."Ugh" my heart shrank a little.
When I arrived at the Planet of the Wolves, the scientist Ray called me to the laboratory. He yelled at me. "You are poisoned by the earth!"
"What?!" I said.
"Get in here!" Ray pointed a capsule. "Why should I go into this?".
I said 'Get In'"
