BREATH OF LIFE 2013
First line-up announcement!

Its that time again when we all get excited about what promises to be another massive chapter in the life of BREATH OF LIFE!

So without any further ado and in no particular order here is the first round of the massive line up for 2013 - This is only the first chapter, an announcement that comes with a promise of so much more from around the globe still to come!

DIZZEE RASCAL - The English MC, songwriter and producer became a house-hold name when his 'Tongue n Cheek' record spawned no less than four #1 hits in the UK including the multi platinum party-time smash "Bonkers". He's also collaborated with Florence and the Machine on "You've Got The Dirtee Love" and with DJ Fresh on "The Power" recently. No doubt a 2012 highlight for Dizzee has been performing as part of the London Olympic Games opening ceremony, we was so inspired by the request that he recorded a track especially for the Olympic "Scream" (Feat. Pepper). 2013 will see a new album from Dizzee Rascal, what can we expect next!

BLISS N ESO - From an early stage in their career, Bliss N Eso primarily built their fan base from their compelling and energetic live performances. An exhilarating blend of fluid rhymes and banging beats teamed with beat boxing, impromptu freestyling and seamless turntablism make their live shows a brand in their own right, and has seen the group hailed as one of the best live acts in the country. Bliss N Eso are back for 2013 with a brand new album set to drop and are ready to give Tasmania another taste of what makes them one of the countries festival faves.

360 - Another week, another accolade - that seems to be the motto 360 lives by these days. After a killer twelve months that has seen him notch up a Top 5 ARIA single and album, a 3 x platinum single for Boys Like You (platinum status for the Falling & Flying album), a Most Hunted Award at the Jagermeister Independent Music Awards, three sell-out national tours and the Channel [V] Oz Artist 2011 award, 10 Aria nominations and a massive 53 weeks in the charts you'd be forgiven for thinking the foul-mouthed Melbourne rapper was running out of available shelf space. You would be well and truly wrong!

BIRDS OF TOKYO - What do you do if your band spends five years growing from acclaimed indie artists into having its name up in lights? Well if you're Birds Of Tokyo you burn it all down and you start all over again. It's therefore apt that the group's first new music in over two years is a four song EP called "This Fire". It will be released as a download, CD and 10" vinyl.

For this epic rock band the last year has been all about change and renewal and that experience is infused throughout the "This Fire EP".

Over the course of their first two studio albums (2007's "Day One" and 2008's "Universes") Birds Of Tokyo carved out a niche for guitar driven anthems. Lots of touring around Australia gradually turned them into Triple J favourites and indie chart toppers. With their eponymous third release in 2010 things shifted up another gear. They won the ARIA Award for "Best Rock Album" and the APRA Award for "Best Rock Song". They enjoyed genuine hit singles with "Plans" and "Wild At Heart" and earned multiplatinum certifications. They stole the show at major festivals including Big Day Out and Groovin' The Moo and they capped it all off by winning the publicly voted gong as "Most Popular Australian Artist" at the 2011 ARIA Awards.

A-TRAK - Fool's Gold's A-Trak is one busy guy. Among a hectic touring schedule, the American also runs a label, and has somewhat become a sartorial icon – collaborations with Nike, New Era and Zoo York, to name a few. Not to mention being one half of Duck Sauce with the almighty Armand Van Helden! No pun intended, everything he touches turns to, well, gold. An act not to messed with; A-Trak brings a culture and presence rare and unformidable in today's landscape. Recent tracks causing that same ruckus are the Converse induced "Warrior" with Mark Foster (Foster The People) and Kimbra, plus "Money Makin" with Dillon Francis – you know what we're talking about.

THE AMITY AFFLICTION - While many bands can claim to have large a fanbase, it's rare to find a group with a following as incredibly dedicated as The Amity Affliction. Their fans travel the country, get lyrics and band art tattooed, and make their love for the band known as often as they can (the band and their records constantly top Media polls). It's why they sell out shows across the country to deafening roars and why they are constantly one of the top bands on all social media networks. The Amity Affliction's latest album Chasing Ghosts debuted at #1 on the Aria charts proving that they are a band that has arrived in a massive way!

DEAD LETTER CIRCUS - When Dead Letter Circus blasted onto Australian airwaves in 2007, their bombastic yet nuanced take on alternative rock left most observers struggling to process what they were hearing. It was epic, it oozed confidence, it was intense and open all at once. It was the debut of a sound so fresh and unique that it was hard to classify.

BOMBS AWAY - Gold Selling Artists, Partyboys and all-round Bad Role Models, Party Bass aficionados BOMBS AWAY, are one of the few acts to hold down 5 concurrent places & Top 10's on ARIA, iTunes, Beatport, Djdownload, Djtunes, and DjTunes charts, along with Get Stoopid, Big Booty Bitches, Swagger & Supersoaker rocking high rotation play across the world on MTV, Channel V, Rage & Video Hits, Nova, Austereo network (Take 40 Chart and Hot Hits Live from LA), and Minstry of Sound Radio.

With two consecutive #1 singles in the ARIA charts, BOMBS AWAY was just voted #1 Artist in Australia and #32 Worldwide on THEDJLIST(.com) and took out #1 WA and #17 Nationally for the 2011 INTHEMIX awards! Their youtube channel rocking the Top 100 Of all time most subscribed/watched Australian musicians on YouTube. with the Supersoaker filmclip peaking at #1 highest rated music video! It also hit #1 Australian Artist Dance Single and #4 Australian single on the ARIA Charts along with being a Certified Gold Record!

OWL EYES – Making a welcome return after her mesmerizing appearance at BOL 2012, we welcome back the amazing Owl Eyes to once again share with us all what has made her one of the brightest lights to make her mark on the musical sphere.

DREAM ON DREAMER - Sometimes things just seem like they were meant to be. Whether it's chance, talent, timing or a combination of all of the above, the stars align and opportunities others fight long and hard for just fall from the sky a prime example is Melbourne's Post-Hardcore six-piece Dream On Dreamer.

And last but certainly not least please allow us to introduce HOUSE VS HURRICANE and NORTHLANE filling out our already brutal mix of some of the hardest the country has to offer, these two will definitely punch well above their weight!

But wait, there's more! We are only getting started, as the weeks go by we will give you some more massive tastes of what Breath Of Life 2013 has in store and we are as exited as anyone could be! Bring on Summer, bring on 2013 and bring on a great festival for a massive cause and lets all do our bit for The Australian Lung Foundation – This my friends will be EPIC!
