Big Day Out 2013 sideshows have been announced with The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Animal Collective, OFF!, Band Of Horses, Bloody Beetroots, Alabama Shakes and Crystal Castles all with a sideshow or two up their sleeves whilst in Australia next January.
Following a short hiatus, The Killers will be playing a string of intimate shows off the back of their latest offering, Battle Born. New records from South Carolina outfit Band Of Horses (Mirage Rock), Animal Collective (Centipede Hz), Alabama Shakes (Boys And Girls) and Sleigh Bells (Reign Of Terror) means new material will be showcased.
New singles and forthcoming records from electronic outfits Bloody Beetroots and Crystal Castles will also see the two performing sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne. Whilst New York power trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs hit the stage to perform their much-loved hits from albums past, and Gary Clark Jnr presents his unique brand of euphoric psychedelia.
Fielding questions from fans, festival organisers have confirmed on Facebook that there will be no sideshow dates for Red Hot Chili Peppers or Vampire Weekend.
