With only a few short weeks to go until the 2012 tour kicks off, Groovin' the Moo is excited to be making three huge announcements! The first is to congratulate all five winners of triple j's unearthed competition, the second is to announce the local artists who will be completing the GTM line up in each region AND the third is to spread the word far and wide that Channel [v] will, for the first time, be searching for their next presenter at all five Groovin' the Moo events.
GTM is proud to have triple j unearthed involved in the programming of local artists in each of the regions and last Thursday, March 29th triple j announced some of the finest up and coming Australian talent who will be kicking off the show in their respective areas on the triple j stage.

Bunbury: Stillwater Giants
Joining triple j's unearthed winners as a part of the local contingent for GTM 2012 and kicking off the tour at the sold out Bendigo Groovin' the Moo on Saturday 5 May will be Loon Lake, Them 9s and Darts. Solemn Prophets, The Medics and special International Guest, Frank Turner will be hitting the stage for Townsville Groovin' the Moo on Sunday 6 May.
The second Groovin' the Moo weekend begins at the sold out Maitland event on Saturday 12 May and will feature 1929Indian, The Guppies and We Built Atlantis followed by Groovin' the Moo Canberra on Sunday 13 May where Vacant Field, Super Best Friends and I Exist will warm up the crowd.
Last but certainly not least, Brow Horn Orchestra, Needing Cherie and Rainy Day Women will be part of Groovin' the Moo Bunbury on Saturday 19 May with Groovin' the Prince and Sonicbids winners still to be announced.

CHANNEL [V] is hunting the next big thing on Australian TV to join the ranks of their Presenter Search, the competition has in the past seen Yumi Stynes, James Mathison and Billy Russell all landing a spot as music VJ's for the station. For the first time auditions are going regional to find someone to work alongside Danny Clayton, Jane Gazzo, Carissa Walford and Billy Russell! Tickets to both the Bendigo and Maitland shows have long been SOLD OUT. Tickets are still available (but selling quickly) for the Townsville (QLD) 6 May, Canberra (ACT) 13 May and Bunbury (WA) 19 May shows.
GTM is a licensed all ages (16 + recommended) event. GTM recommends parents should consider whether the event is appropriate for their child and recommends that any children under 16 years of age who attend the event are accompanied by their parent or guardian. Persons who are 18 years of age or older and wish to purchase alcohol MUST have photographic ID. No pass outs will be issued at any of the five GTM events.
