Future Entertainment and The Met present
SKRILLEX
Bangarangs into Brisbane for Australia's only Club Show!

Divide and conquer - Brisbane scores the only Australian Club show from dubstep's controversial top dog, Skrillex.

Next Saturday 10 March, Skrillex (aka Sony Moore), will play a two hour DJ set at one of Brisbane's core entertainment venues, The Met, that will likely include songs "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites", "Bangarang" and his Grammy Award-winning remix to Benny Benassi's "Cinema".

The king of EDM is touring as a part of Future Music Festival and has confirmed only two sideshows in Australia for 2012; the first at Sydney's Enmore Theatre is sold out.

This is the one man machine's third visit to Australia in as many years - he played a range of club gigs in 2010 in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth and was on the bill for Creamfields in 2011.

Director of Entertainment at The Met, Michael Watt says, "With this being Skrillex's only club show in the country, arguably the best environment to experience his gritty dubstep, fans should jump online to secure their spot. We're expecting a sell out for this one."

Skrillex will pack two shows into one day on Saturday 10 March; first at Future Music Festival in Sydney before heading to Brisbane for his late night gig at The Met.

The electronic music producer won three out of his five nominations at this year's Grammy Awards, all off the back only four EP's he has released so far.

Turning heads the world over Skrillex even has the seal of approval from Foo Fighters front man, Dave Grohl, who declared in a post-Grammy's statement, "I don't know how to do what Skrillex does (though I f*cking love it) but I do know that the reason he is so loved is because he sounds like Skrillex."

Refusing to be restricted by current music genres, Skrillex has described his sound as, "a mix of dubstep, electro and glitch all thrown together."

Don't miss Skrillex live at The Met this Saturday 10 March.

"Whether or not Moore takes credit, his electro house and amped-up dubstep sound has found its way into the fabric of American subculture in a way no other genre has before..." Joe Muggs, The Guardian (UK)
