After recently announcing Cold Chisel as headliners, Bluesfest organisers have announced the third round of artists to appear at the mammoth five day festival.
Heading the announcement is Sublime with Rome, which sees the legendary ska-group reform and tackle their catalogue with the addition of 21-year-old vocalist Rome. Original vocalist Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996, just days before the release of their third album. They are joined on the bill by Zappa Plays Zappa, Dawes, James Vincent McMorrow, Josh Pyke, Blue King Brown, Eileen Jewell, 1814, Busby Marou and Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
Festival Director Peter Noble is clearly delighted with the selection of acts: "We are so excited about this announcement; we simply could not hold it back. It's our Christmas present to you. It's all about the next generation of emerging artists as well as a few artists who are headliners in their own right."
More acts are to be announced in the new year.
