'ON THE ROAD AGAIN' is the aptly named title of KATCHAFIRE's new album.
Constantly touring worldwide, blowing away their massive fan base with a killer live show, back by popular demand, Katchafire are about to hit Australian shores in the New Year. For the third time since the album release in June!
'On The Road Again', Katchafire's 4th studio album, was released in Australia in June, through new independent label LION HOUSE RECORDS. Following tradition, of all previous albums reaching Platinum or Double Platinum, 'On The Road Again' has reached Platinum status in their home land, Aotearoa / New Zealand.
With some of the most quality roots reggae from the southern hemisphere, Katchafire have been blazing their trail across the globe since the release of their first album in 2003. Thousands of concerts, critical acclaim, millions of youtube hits and now with the drop of this 4th studio album, Katchafire's reach continues to explode. The band has completed huge tours to the USA, Europe, UK, New Caledonia, Brazil & Australia, this year alone. Thousands are singing along to their infectious and soulful melodies worldwide.
Many cities and towns in Australia have been lucky enough to experience Katchafire's deep reggae-soul rhythms and infectious heavyweight grooves on this album tour. The band has experienced sell out shows and rocking crowds along the east coast and in WA. They will now return to our shores, in January 2012, hitting some of the few places they have missed this year; Brisbane, Adelaide, Coffs Harbour and Yamba, also re-visiting Byron Bay to appease the crowds who were turned away at their last sold out show.
Fans will be eager to see New Zealand's finest and hear the new album tunes live.
Rave reviews of the album tour thus far, and some stellar album reviews have stated;
Brag, Sydney - "high grade reggae that is as varied as it is fresh."
Rave, Brisbane - "on this record, album number four, they have shown exactly why they are masters of the Rasta sound."
Faster Louder - "The eight member strong band on-stage promised an array of instrumental harmonies, and they surely delivered on this promise."
