It has been a busy 12 months for Sydney’s The Mission In Motion since the release of their debut album “ Somewhere Safe” which spawned two Triple J high rotation singles “ New Skin” and “ Believer”. This led to a feature as part of Triple J’s next crop artists, a performance on Like A Version, garnered a spot on the Big Day Out and headlined their own successful shows.
Fresh of the back of supporting You Me At Six (UK) and We The Kings (USA) and with no signs of slowing down The Mission In Motion head back on the road armed with their new single “ Control “. Recorded at Electric Sun Studios and mixed and mastered by Will Putney (Four Year Strong, Chiodos,) “ Control” is the bands strongest material to date.
As vocalist Brett Islaub enthuses “ I think this is up there with one of the best songs we have written as a band, It is about staying focused and working towards achieving your goals”.
Joining the bill is Sydney upstarts Strangers whom are preparing to release their debut album early next year. Already building a buzz with their hook laden melodic rock turning heads across the country with their explosive live shows. In their short time STRANGERS have shared the stage with the likes of Grinspoon, Calling All Cars and a slot on Coaster Festival.
