MasterCard is excited to announce the 3rd and final show of the Debit MasterCard Priceless Music series for 2011 with another must-see performance, this time by UK pop phenomenon, Florence + the Machine.
The 2011 series kicked off in May with Perth’s own Birds of Tokyo, rocking out against the unforgettable backdrop of Sydney Harbour’s Cockatoo Island and last week saw the 2nd show with UK rock outfit Kasabian’s once in a lifetime performance in Melbourne at the Peninsula, Docklands.
This time around, we are heading to the hub of Sydney’s artistic performance, The Seymour Centre.
And where better for Florence to showcase her latest piece of artistry, the sophomore album Ceremonials.
Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated albums of 2011, Ceremonials is set for release on 28 October, with Australian fans being among the first in the world to hear Florence’s latest work of art. The beautiful album features the lead single, Shake It Out, along with the spine tingling taster track What the Water Gave Me, which was leaked early to fans by Florence herself.
Florence + the Machine’s debut album Lungs was one of the highest selling albums of 2010 spawning the massive hits, You’ve Got The Love, Kiss With A Fist and Dog Days Are Over and achieving double-platinum sales in Australia, earning a swag of awards and critical acclaim, and truly positioning Florence as one of the most sought after singers of today.
Florence had the following message for her fans “I’m so excited to come back to Australia, I've had some really amazing times on tour there and I can’t wait to get back to see everyone again..see you soon...Love Florence x”
The 2010 Debit MasterCard Priceless Music Series shows featured heavy-weights including Pendulum, Katy Perry and Good Charlotte and quickly became some of the most talked about gigs on the music calendar. This year’s performances by Birds of Tokyo and Kasabian have blown audiences away and with what we have in store with Florence + the Machine, 2011 is sure to be our biggest and best year yet and we’re ready to go out with a bang!
