
Guineafowl won't be lying about the fun they'll have on tour when their friends Split
Seconds, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, Mosman Alder and Glass Towers join them on The Lie Is
Tour. Guineafowl return to the Australian summer after playing headline shows across the
USA to celebrate Dangerbird Records releasing their debut EP, "Hello Anxiety".
Perth's Split Seconds dominated the 2011 WAMI's and are ready to share the Western
Australia's Norfolk Basement with Guineafowl. The all-singing, instrument-swapping
sextet, will show off their musical dexterity earned whilst riding along with The Panics on
their sold out tour in July this year.
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!'s monolithic tech-pop has been embraced by Guineafowl, joining
them for shows in Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne. Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!'s
avalanche of musical ideas and backgrounds were welcomed on their well-received
debut LP, "Sea Priest". New single, 'Panther Shrine' from their forthcoming sophomore
release is finding its feet on national radio.
Joining Guineafowl will be label mates, Mosman Alder in their hometown of Brisbane.
Led by Valdis Valodze's deep, mesmerizing voice, Mosman Alder sprawl in scale
between three vocalists, a violin, keys, guitar, bass and drums all in exquisite detail.
Hand picked by Kimbra to support her at her sold out show at Brisbane Festival's
Spiegeltent, Mosman Alder are currently working on their debut recording demonstrating
why they are Dew Process' latest signing.
triple j Unearthed High finalists in 2010, Glass Towers won't have to lie about their age
clocking in an average of 19 years. Their infectious brand of indie rock has already seen
them open Splendour In The Grass, support Metronomy, Tame Impala and Bluejuice. On
the back of the release of their debut EP under the guidance of acclaimed producer
Wayne Connolly, Glass Towers are keen to test their new wares on the road with
Guineafowl.
In addition Guineafowl will welcome local supports to the stage throughout The Lie Is
Tour including Elisha Bones, Go Violets, The Walking Who, Hawks of Alba and Private
Life.
