VALLEY FIESTA Since its inception in 1997, Valley Fiesta has become Brisbane’s largest and most loved annual street festival. Brisbane City Council is proud to announce Valley Fiesta’s dates for the two-day party in Brisbane’s iconic Fortitude Valley are the 7th & 8th of October. Fiesta will see a wealth of proudly home-grown artists takeover 3 outdoor street stages on Friday and Saturday. The Brunswick St. road-closure is back and overlooking the Brunswick Mall stage. In 2011 we also welcome the Alloneword Alfred St. stage. Valley Fiesta is not just about the music; this much-loved annual event celebrates the artistic and geographical spoils that have flourished from the Valley’s vibrant cultural melting pot. Experience rooftop roller-discos, Chinatown Banquets and bustling street markets as they join independent designers and galleries playing host to a range of unique, eclectic events. Strut & Fret Production House is onboard again to manage the creative direction of the 2011 program after a tremendously successful 2010 festival. Valley Fiesta 2011 is a not for profit, free, outdoor, public event produced by Strut &Fret Production House on behalf of the Brisbane City Council; the major foundation sponsor of Valley Fiesta.
