FULL NOISE FESTIVAL 2011 A full throttle line-up of marquee Australian artists has been announced for the third Full Noise Music Festival, set to rock Townsville and the north on Saturday October 8. Announced today by festival founders Karl and Mark Vass, the line-up stars Australian rock royalty, the hottest hip-hop names, uber indie-pop and cool house. “Names in Australian music don’t get much bigger or louder than the likes of Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon, tyDi, The Herd, Faker, The Vines, Illy and the list goes one,” said Mark Vass. “Many of the line-up this year haven’t been to the north ever, or for some time, and we are proud to be able to deliver this rocking festival again this year!” Headlining on the Main Stage is the chart-topping Eskimo Joe, who has come a long way since their humble beginnings as breakthrough indie rock kids in Fremantle; along with the ARIA-winning rockers Grinspoon; while in the Dance Tent hot lyrical expressionists The Herd and dance music go-to talent tyDi are in the spotlight. The Main Stage will roll out ARIA-award winning indie rock chiefs The Vines, hot on the heels of their new album release Future Primitive; progressive rock juggernaut Dead Letter Circus making their maiden voyage to North Queensland; jet-setters Gypsy and the Cat, who recently supported Kylie Minogue on her national tour; the ARIA-nominated Faker, as well as Ball Park Music and King Cannons. In the Dance Tent, headlined by tyDi and The Herd, hot electronic goodness Bag Raiders and hip-hop legends Illy will get Full Noisers going. Tim & Jean, Dialectrix, Cassian, Loot & Plunder, BeXta, Yeah Right DJs and DNA promise a more than a healthy dose of house and dance beats, directional, mainstream and newbeats. As in the previous two Full Noise festivals, local talent have been given stage time, check out the Full Noise website for these details. “To support this phenomenal line-up, Full Noise will combine state of the art, sound, lighting and staging technologies to deliver a benchmark event ... get ready to get loud in a big way!” said Vass. “We aimed for a festival trifecta: The best DJs and bands, the best production, and the best venue. I may be bias, but I think we have done it." “Importantly, ticket prices have remained the same at just $85 plus booking fee - we have taken out all stops to ensure the tickets are priced well, it’s a big priority for us to make this music event accessible to as many people as possible.” VIP tickets are back again at $120 + booking fee, gaining festival goers exclusive themed area, own DJ and a whole lot more… | |
