HOMEBAKE MUSIC, FILM & ARTS FESTIVAL 2011 News of Homebake’s return to the calendar this year has emerged, with the festival’s website updated with the slogan “The Classic Edition – 2011” with the Hopetoun stage renamed after Rowland S Howard. Last year the festival took a year off, with promoter Joe Segreto telling The Drum Media at the time that the “planets hadn’t aligned” that would have made putting the festival on an option. Homebake has been confirmed to return this year and and the official website has been updated throughout the course of the day. A teaser video of the festival’s history in the centrepiece and the page states that the full details will be announced at the end of July. The page also lists the Rowland S Howard stage as one the the event’s four and Your Daily SPA confirmed that it is a renaming of the Hopetoun Stage (named after Sydney’s famous, now defunct, live music venue). Rowland S Howard was due to play Homebake in 2009 before taking ill the day prior. He later died and Homebake blacked out their websites as a mark of respect. An official announcement is due soon.
