THE NATION BLUE

In an era where reunion tours are about as surprising as finding another grey hair in your already receding hairline, few bands play so rarely that certain milestones creep up on you, like realising you have been a band for 15 years!

It was 1996 when little Thomas Lyngcoln and Dancin’ Dan Mckay started jamming in old Hobart town as The Nation Blue.

It was 5 years later that they jumped ship and headed to the mainland, picking up Matt Weston and releasing their debut album “Blueprint for Modern Noise’ in 2001. And a lot happens in 15 years.

4 albums. A million tours. Litres of blood loss. Dislocated kneecaps. Running from favela drug raids with machine guns. Dave Grohl. Tinnitus. You also get fat. To celebrate survival, the ‘blue are heading out on the road with a setlist full of the old shit. For all shows, they are dragging out noise terrorists Lo! (for fans of Breach, Old Man Gloom, Converge), and Firearms.
