Micro festival – a traveling solution for arts , entertainment and sustainable ecology – hold their very first event, a fundraiser on Saturday 31st October at the Ceres Environment Park in Brunswick East.
Capturing the essence of what people love about the festival experience, and allowing
them to join in and participate at a grass roots level, Micro will feature live performances by The Frowning Clouds, Ned Collete (solo), Koko~Nuts!, King Cannons, Toot Toot Toots, Kiddyrock Show, Clairy Baby Browne and the Bangin Rackettes, The Pulse and surprised special guests…
Some of the weird and wonderful arts and alternative technologies presented at Micro will include Plasticine Squashing, Illuminated Inflatables, a Kiddyrock Workshop, Live Bunny rabbit Painting , Theramin 101, Halloween Lantern making and how to charge your mobile phone using an Onion!!
Our eclectic and ironic DJ’s Andee Frost, Hannah Fox, Heavy G, and Christo will take you to places you’ve only dreamed of, but careful what happens when you wake up !
Micro festival is about creating opportunities for young people in regional and remote areas to participate in cultural, arts, music and alternative technologies. The first event to be held on Halloween will raise funds for the first tour of regional Victoria, scheduled for the school holidays of April 2010! |
