Full Noise Music Festival announced for October 24, 2009 Townsville is about to get a whole lot louder!
On October 24 this year, Townsville in North Queensland will host some of Australia's most exciting emerging and established bands and DJs, headlined by Australian electro hit-makers Empire of the Sun and Frenzal Rhomb, in a day and night of noise - introducing the inaugural FULL NOISE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2009.

To be staged at the Rugby Union grounds in Currajong, Full Noise Music Festival 2009 will celebrate sound in a way that has not been done before in the North.
In a major coup for the north, EMPIRE OF THE SUN will headline, in their second only live performance in Queensland (their first live performance is set for Parklife in September). The sensational line-up includes bands and artists currently dominating the airwaves of Triple J Radio and the FM stations nationally:

Beating the drum for Full Noise Festival are two former North Queensland boys, now based in South East Queensland with strong ties to Townsville - brothers Karl and Mark Vass of Vass Promotions (VP). The two are committed to ensuring the North Queensland population is exposed to cross-genre music and live music events and experiences, just as the south-eastern coast of Australia is.
"Full Noise 2009 has been created to fill a very real need in the market, the need for music lovers throughout North Queensland to see and celebrate live music, to experience new bands and sound creators, and importantly, for the emerging and established artists of the area to play with and alongside the country's best," said Mark Vass.
The event will be a day of music celebration, with emerging and established bands and DJs from the North flying the flag for regional artists, and being able to play alongside their counterparts from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and abroad," he said.
