Touring Australia in August under the banner of the Trilogy Tour is a value added bill made up of three equally brilliant parts: DUKES OF WINDSOR, TRIAL KENNEDY and New Zealand's MIDNIGHT YOUTH. Three emerging bands all aiming to impress with great songs, superb musicianship and getting silly on the one bill. Three hot young bands on a mission let loose on an unsuspecting public. Hmmm ... there are rumours of inter-band collaborations already! This 23 date Winter tour will be a trilogy of fun as well as producing serious performance envy and more than enough energy to move cold feet. Its rocky, its dancey, its punk, its melodic, tis memorable, but most of all its AUTHENTIC Antipodean talent! It's been a fast ride for rockers DUKES OF WINDSOR. In 2007 the remix of their debut Top 10 Gold single The Others spent three months at No. 1 on the ARIA Club Chart. The album, Minus, was released through Island Records in late 2008 and spawned three solid singles: It's a War, Get it, Runaway and now to coincide with the Trilogy tour, DUKES OF WINDSOR are unleashing the hauntingly sublime latest offering, Crystal's Getting High. The Dukes are an enigma in this country and have melodies to burn. Accomplished musicianship enables them to rock out as hard as the best of them BUT with original music you can't help dancing to. Plus they have SONGS. Since the release of their debut album New Manic Art in May of 08, TRIAL KENNEDY has firmly established themselves as an Australian band that means business. Critically and commercially acclaimed with 3 killer singles, Neighbours, the radio friendly Colour Day Tours and the ever so anthemic Sunday Warning were flogged on the spectrum of radio stations. New Manic Art is a refreshing rock record and was revered by critics Australia wide. War King is the recently released single from this album, only available digitally. Singer Tim wrote this song for his dad who fought in World War II. Now we’re up to TRIAL KENNEDY round 2: the gloves are off, the creative juices are flowing and the TRIAL KENNEDY lads are armed and ready with some previously unheard material and just the right Aussie rock attitude to take them to the top. Did we mention they have SONGS? MIDNIGHT YOUTH recorded their debut album The Brave Don't Run in New York. The first NZ single, The Letter, achieved critical acclaim and was the No. 1 Most Played Song on New Zealand radio spending 15 weeks in NZ's Top 10 charts. The second NZ single, All On Our Own, is currently the No. 1 radio song in the country with NZ's Edge FM saying "Midnight Youth are gonna be one of those Kiwi bands that stand the test of time and their album is the perfect example of that". A busy six months touring NZ rewarded them with a number No. 1 album debut on NZ iTunes and No. 2 NZ Album Chart debut. The first single to be released in Australia for MIDNIGHT YOUTH is Cavalry whichhas just been serviced to media. Make sure you arrive early to see this great live band from across the ditch!
