The hip-hop trio that have dominated the past twelve months of your life are about to return with their first solo tour in almost a year, and this time they're upping the ante and tearing the roof off a whole new calibre of venues. Their Flying Colours album, released more than a year ago, has amazingly remained in the ARIA Album Charts ever since, and spawned four massive hit singles in Bullet and a Target, Woodstock 2008, Eye of the Storm and The Sea is Rising. A re-release of the album, featuring a live DVD, is due for release on May 15th. In the time since the boys last hit the road, they've rocked 82,000 punters at Sound Relief, won an ARIA, had three tracks in Triple J's Hottest 100 and toured internationally. They've performed at a few hand-selected festivals, including some incredible sets at Southbound, the Quiksilver Pro and Homebake (“I was most excited about seeing Crowded House, but Bliss N Eso ended up stealing the show” - InTheMix). Their last solo tour sold out every one of its 24 shows in just a matter of days, and Bliss N Eso's profile has been on illegal growth hormones ever since, so this is sure to meet a very similar fate. For those that are yet to catch these three in the flesh – your day of reckoning has arrived, and for those who have – you know to leave your valuables at home. |
