Finding new ways to be the Bad Seeds may be the band’s ongoing mission but Nick Cave and his comrades have made the job look easy with the overwhelming success of their monumental fourteenth album, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! The critics have been nearly universal in their praise; with a score of 87 on the review-aggregating website Metacritic, Dig is the fifth best-reviewed record of the year and has been nominated as Australian Album of the Year by the Triple J Awards. Three ARIA nominations have also been garnered by the effort: Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Male Artist (Nick himself). Following an epic run through Europe and their first North American tour in almost six years, capped by an historic headline performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, the band now announces a set of exclusive and intimate Melbourne concert at the Palace.
