The Starlight Theatre Co-Op in conjunction with The Brisbane Junior Theatre Company are proud to bring you their productions for the year. Included are The Importance of Being Ernest, Songs for a New World, A Doll's House & Proof.
Starlight Theatre was established by Artistic Director Jack Bradford in 2006 by co-producing the critically acclaimed Queensland premiere of the 1996 Pulitzer Prize winning "Rent" by Jonathan Larson. This production was followed by the Schonell 2006 production of "Godspell" and then in 2007 Starlight co-produced the Qld premiere of "Witches of Eastwick" with Turkish Delight Box. In 2007 plans began to emerge for Starlight's and Brisbane Junior Theatre's development of a new theatre space "Centre Stage" in Spring Hill Qld at 25 Quarry St.
With the development complete, the show(s) can now go on.
The Starlight Theatre Co-op is certainly aiming high by endeavouring to produce their 1st season in 2008 of 8 incredible productions including 4 classic plays, 2 contemporary classics and 2 musicals. the space is small but potentially powerful. The Co-op is in the process of establishing the basic theatre environment at the moment and aim to keep building all of the resources to maintain excellence in the theatre community of Brisbane.
