GOOD CHARLOTTE
International stars Good Charlotte are headlining main stage, showcasing their newly released fourth album, ‘Good Morning Revival’ which launches with an artful, innovative sound collage that slides into the irresistible “Misery”-- it’s evident that the world-famous band who’ve sold over nine million albums has revolutionized its sound for 2007. Good Morning Revival sustains its momentum with songs like the fuzzy, club-driven “Dancefloor Anthem” and the genre-defying, Gorillaz-like You Tube favorite “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl”. Good Charlotte has proven that it can thrive in a number of musical realms.
KISSCHASY
KISSCHASY introduces a fresh sound - more confronting, more relentless, more rockin’, more irresistible than ever with ‘Hymns for the Nonbeliever’. This is the follow-up to 2005’s smash hit debut, ‘United Paper People’. The Mornington foursome has reunited to produce the most solid album you will hear in 2007. From start to finish, it doesn’t relent.
BUTTERFINGERS
It’s official, BUTTERFINGERS give you more bang for your buck than a discount fireworks expo! These Brisbane misfits have been busy shocking and stadium rocking the Australian masses for 5 years - selling beats by the pound and blasting through the boundaries of rock n’ roll the only way they know how. These guys consistently mix up genres and styles in order to create a balanced chaos of hip hop, punk rock, electro and dub all packaged with fun and shameless appeal. Now with their new single ‘Nothin Much Happens’, they will have you making good use of your dancing shoes.
SMALL MERCIES
Brisbane four piece rock outfit, SMALL MERCIES have been nominated for their debut single Innocent in the Breakthrough Artist single category.
SMALL MERCIES are a classic rock band for the modern era. Their songs bristle with a mood of instant familiarity. Break the band into sonic parts and youll hear chiming choruses, shimmering guitars and an explosive bottom end; all of which are fronted by a young voice fit to fill arenas, stadiums and the airwaves.
SHORT STACK
Hailing from Sydney, SHORT STACK are fast emerging as one of the hottest young bands in Australia since launching their emo style act online earlier this year and have recently signed an International deal with Sunday Morning Records. With more energy than a box of frogs, their music is a blend of many genres, including punk, glam and indie. Their lyrics are honest, witty and tongue in cheek all stitched together with teenage confessions.
NINA MAY
NINA MAY have taken the Brisbane music scene by the balls and boy is Brisbane really starting to feel it! With hard, melodic rock and kick-ass girly vocals, the band has certainly got a firm grip on things! They released their debut EP, ‘Make Love to Your Stereo’ in June 2006. It was mixed by Dave Leonard (The Butterfly Effect, Small Mercies), and has received great acclaim from street press and Aussie rockers down the east coast of Australia. With all this under their belt in just a year, who knows how far NINA MAY go?
